Thinknear Wins Two MediaPost Appy Awards

Thinknear was nominated in two categories for the 2019 MediaPost Appy Awards – Best Use of Geo-Location and Best Use of Rich Media – and was the proud recipient in both categories.

The winners are selected by a panel of judges spanning across agencies and ad tech professionals.

To keep a thriving city like Boston running, thousands of Bostonians work the ‘third-shift’. Some say these are the ‘forgotten workers’ because by the time they clock out to head home, most services are shut down. But the Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority (MBTA) did not forget these late-night warriors that keep the city going. Instead, the MBTA sought to better serve this important sector. The MBTA expanded bus service between 10:00pm and 3:00am, providing more frequent service and a safer commuting option to these hardworking Bostonians. To support this initiative, they needed to get the word out and boost ridership. The MBTA, Alipes and Thinknear partnered on a laser focused campaign that leveraged in-app geo-location strategies to reduce waste by engaging the target audience, build awareness of this important service and ultimately boost late-night ridership.

Acura RDX

American’s love for SUVs shows no sign of slowing, but the market is growing more crowded and less innovative. With the RDX re-launch, Acura sought to defy every SUV stereotype and focus on the most luxurious and high-performance aspects so drivers need not compromise. The RDX sought to break down barriers and break through the clutter with innovative sleek design and an array of interior features like no other. The goal was to get the consumer to ‘sit’ inside the car, anywhere they might be from the convenience of their mobile devices, on their commute to work or comfort of their couch, so they had a chance to fall in-love at ‘first peek’, and be compelled to get to their nearest dealer for a test drive.
